To each his own as far as suspects go, but I do believe young Hardiman is Rob Hill's prime suspect.
Don.
"To expose [the Senator] is rather like performing acts of charity among the deserving poor; it needs to be done and it makes one feel good, but it does nothing to end the problem."
And Winston Churchill is someone else's, but I don't feel that qualifies him for the title of 'suspect'. Perhaps it's semantical, but I think that word is a bit overused.
I've never heard that one before, Tom. Winston was 13 years old at the time of the murders and was attending Harrow for at least part of 1888. You're probably thinking of his father, Randolph.
Hello Adam
I have yet to find a photo or illustration of James Hardiman although there are quite a few of cat's meat sellers to be found on the web.As part of my research I discovered that James Hardiman may have been a prisoner at Wandsworth prison from 26 November 1880-25 November 1881 so there is a possibility of a photo existing. The Nominal Prison Register gave the following description-Age 23-Height 5ft 4-Complexion Fair-Colour of Hair Light brown-Eyes Blue.He seved 12 calendar months hard labour for the Offence of Stealing the sum of 45£ and Embezzling the sum of 5£ with no previous convictions recorded.
