I've been wondering how long it would take for some software developer to come up with an iPhone/iPod Touch application relating to Jack the Ripper, and sure enough, there's now one called "Bloody GPS".
This is supposed to use GPS signals via the iPhone to pinpoint your location against historical murder locations. Apart from JtR, there are locations of murders by Peter Kuerten, Son of Sam, Ted Bundy etc, etc,....
Here's what the application looks like when plotting Mary Ann Nichols murder site.
Fairly accurate, although the scale of the map doesn't allow specific pinpointing of the exact spot.
From there onwards however, it's all downhill......
Suffice to say, even though this can be obtained free from iTunes, I don't recommend this application to anyone. Unless you have a desire to conduct your own completely inaccurate JtR walking tour!
