that we will most likely never know who jack the ripper really was? it's like the more and more you read about him and his case, you wanna know who this person was. I think if we did find out who he was, he wouldn't be so interesting and fascinating to us now that we know his identity and his real story. Does anyone know that if Jack killed his victims in complete darkness as some claim? Don Rumbelow said that a person would need surgical skill to take organs out of bodies in near darkness conditions. Also, does anyone have any idea what kinda knife Jack would have used? I know Jack sent Lusk a human kidney and letter. Has this letter ever been found and would it be possible to extract dna off of it?

re: Thread Titles
Hi, Jon.
I think that's a good question, but frankly I would have preferred a more appropriate thread title.
Perhaps you didn't realize this, but all of our posts become part of the permanent record of this website, which is intended to be a scholarly resource.
Please believe me when I say that I'm not trying to criticize you personally; your question is a perfectly good one. But thread titles are highly visible.
It's possible that Admin will permit you to alter it if you ask them to. Maybe a thread title asking "Do You Feel Frustrated?" would be preferable.
It will probably bring more series replies to your thread, too.
Otherwise this may turn into a rant-and argue thread, and I don't think that's what you intended when you asked your question.
Thanks and best regards, Archaic
PS: I forgot to welcome you to forums .
Don't worry, Jon, you'll get the hang of it.

The only thing that pi$$es me off about it is that it does not give the victims any closure or sense of Justice.
Then again ,if we did know the identity for sure, we wouldn't have any need to speculate or study the case. it would lose it's infamy.I won't make any deals. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed,de-briefed, or numbered!

I should have worded this post better. I myself believe Jack the ripper sent the from hell letter and kidney to George Lusk. I also read that the police didn't release the information about the missing kidney at the time that the sender of the Lusk letter and kidney sent it to Lusk.
