  • Early Arrest records

    Hello everyone. In researching the JTR case, we come across some possible victims who may have been early attacks from Jack. Specifically, I mean Annie Millwood and Ada Wilson and, of course, the murder of Martha Tabram. However, none of these attacks ever resulted in an arrest of any individual for these crimes. The question I have is, do we know of any possible arrest records of any individuals arrested fo domestic assaults on women or perhaps a person who had frequent run ins with the law for attacking prostitutes in the East End area from around, say, 1886-early 1888? If so, maybe it's possible this person might be a possible candidate for becoming a serial killer,

    I won't make any deals. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed,de-briefed, or numbered!

    OR......perhaps none of the women mentioned above were killed by any serial killer but rather by one of the many men we know of in that area at that time who had known violent tendencies towards women or street women in particular.

    Instead of looking for a serial killer who ranges from stabbing throats to excising internal organs "skillfully", why not concede that the simple accounts of stabs and robberies with violence are more likely to have been committed by a simple criminal, likely disorganized ,....... and some of the acts executed by The Ripper look as if he exhibits some organized behavior....and more complex motivations for killing.

    If you want to look for Jack in amongst the men that we know assaulted women, you'll need to examine a lot of men. However if you want to look for men capable of extracting a uterus "cleanly" in the near dark after murdering the donor in public...thats likely a much smaller list.

    Best regards JTR

      Hi JTR. Personally, I consider Wilson and Millwood to be red herrings. Even if they were early attempts by the Ripper, we'd have no way of showing that, so I've never found discussion of their cases very rewarding. The jury is out on Tabram.

      Yours truly,

        motive

        Hello Tom. I cannot disagree. The motive for the earlier cases seems transparent. Not so for the later killings.

        The best.

          Hello you all!

          Well, a classical tale of racionation;

          if one name pops in with all of the three and can be found in the neighbourhood of the known Ripper murder sites...

          But then; has that name been found yet?!

          All the best
