  • Last person to die ?

Who was the last person to die (i don't mean the victims)who was connected with the JTR case?
We're standing alone inside the night
    listen the wind is calling
to the dangerzone beyond the light
    and suddenly we are falling
But there ain't no stopping us now
I don't know if I'll be back tonight
It's just a machine inside of my head
and now all the wheels are turning
I'll think of the words we never said
and deep in my heart it's burning
But there is no stopping it now
    we're gonna make it somehow
    you wait tonight
and we're waiting for the light
Into the fire we will run
into the sound of distant drums
when you're walking alone in a dream
    on a highway to nowhere
    nowhere tonight

    Hello,

The last I can think of was Inspector Lewis Keaton who joined the investigation as it was ending in 1891 and died in 1970 at the age of 100.
This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

Good question, that. I'm going to guess Walter Dew, who died in 1947.

Uh oh. I see the problem here. If you want people with a direct connection with the case, it depends upon when you think the murders ended. I think 1888. Stan, apparently, doesn't.

Yeah it's a bit awkward as to original connections and later ones- perhaps both can be done?

When did Spratling die? I remember reading something along the lines of "He drank his tea stronger than any other officer and lived so long that he drew more in pension than in pay..."
"If you listen to the tills you can hear the bells toll. You can hear what a state we're in".

                Hi
If you want to include suspects into the fold, I think the last one to die (I could be wrong about this; please correct me if I am) was Walter Sickert, who died in 1942 at the age of 82.
I won't make any deals. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed,de-briefed, or numbered!
