Can anyone tell me which paper was the first to report the murder of Annie Chapman? If you could provide the date and a transcript, all the better but I can't find which paper broke the news. I need this for research for a novel I'm writing!

Click on Victims (left hand side of the screen), then Annie Chapman. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the various press reports. It looks like The Echo and The Evening News were the first to report the murder on 8 September.
