Hello everyone,
I am knew to Casebook but was hoping that someone might have time to help me with my dissertation. I am studying for an MA in Publishing and have elected to do a dissertation on the Ripper. I have had an interest in the Ripper since I visited Madame Tussauds as a child. I am hoping to find out about the Ripper publishing industry so if anyone had any thoughts on the following points I would be very grateful:
1. How is the publishing industry able to support so many Ripper titles?
2. Will this Ripper industry continue indefinitely?
3. How is Ripper publishing viewed within the industry?
4. What makes the public continue to buy Ripper books, particularly when many cover the same information?
5. How has Ripper publishing has changed since 1888 e.g. type of authors, portrayal of Jack, style of writing etc?
If anyone had time to think about any of these questions or had any other thoughts on the Ripper publishing industry I would really appreciate it.
Rachel.
