Suspects: What Reality is Most Interesting?

Let's pretend that the case has irrefutably been solved. What murderer would maintain the most interest in the case moving forward? If at all possible, try to answer this question irrespective of your personal pet theories. For example, I would be more interested in Jack if it turned out that he had Royal connections than if he was a David Cohen, even though I know that the latter or something like it is far more likely. I would be most interested if Jack was Joe Barnett because that is such a good story, to me. (Again, Joe probably is not Jack.) The question is, what would make the most captivating story?

Dare I say Walter Sickert? A world famous artist who was secretly a serial killer and painted his crimes years later, thereby profiting from them, would definitely go down in criminal history.

      Bram Stoker.

      And possibly Condor.

The most pleasant and interesting aspect of ripperology, in my opinion, is the "meeting" with the LVP East-Enders.
I'm glad to have met Packer, I often think of Eddowes singing in custody, I feel sad for poor Isenschmid and his lost butchery...
An unknown local will therefore keep my interest alive, as the love stories involving Barnett and Fleming.

        Amitiés all.

Agreed, David - absolutely. And that is not because I favour Fleming as the top suspect, but just as you hint, there is a really god story with all the elements of love and hatred hidden in that combination!

          The best,
          Fisherman

...must add that Druitt, in which I don't believe but that I can't forget either, would make a tragic and fascinating Ripper.

I would always have had a hankering to see D'onston Stephenson as the Ripper - all the black magic and dark arts, very gothic.
But he was in hospital so that is a no goer...

I would put forward a suspect who, in my opinion, deserves a little more attention than he gets on these boards: James Kelly.
The dramatic upheaval of his childhood, unhappy love affair/marriage, murder of his wife, escape from Broadmoor, the mystery of his whereabouts thereafter (and therein of course lies the biggest problem with him, so many blanks to fill in). Not forgetting attempting to turn himself in, the police missing the boat (literally), and finally returning voluntarily to Broadmoor in old age.
A fascinating story if ever there was one.
aye aye! keep yer 'and on yer pfennig!
