Hi everyone, just expressing my thought's again, forgive me if I've posted on the wrong thread. Something that has alway's puzzled me, is the way that the murder sites form a sought of patern. I would think that a serial killer's murder site would indicate kriss-cross point's over a map, and naturally not form shape's or patern's, but I supose I'll leave that to statistic's.

Unless the patern of the murder sites were made intentionally, although I think this unreal but not "impossible". I personally looking at this newspaper photo, what I see are dot's which form a "cross" or an "arrow" shape (patern), which point South-West (I think) I also notice the arrow let's say, point's straight to the houses of parliment and Westminster Abby, must be a COINCIDENCE, or a chance in a million I would say, just my opinion. First of all I wanna thank DVV for telling me to post this here.
Anyway here's one really awkward one.
A family genealogy from 1880.
Father is a steelworker called John Kelly who had a daughter called Mary both lived in Iowa at that time.Then I found something else.Some sorta grave information from a kid who was buried in Wales.Mother was a Mary Davies born in Iowa who was married to a man called Francis.And on another note.Iowa's neighbour state Minnesota has a town called Limerick.
I highly doubt all these are connected to the case though.Would have been noticed already I'd say.

I find it quite coincidental that right after the Zodiac is mentioned here in more than one of the Casebook forum thread we have a new suspect come to light with Deborah Perez's claim that her step father Guy Ward Hendrickson was responsible for at least some of those killings. Maybe we should talk about the Cleveland Torso Murderer for a while.

I note that in smezenen's original post he does not ask for coincidences specifically relating to Jack the Ripper, but to all those relating to the information on this site. So I thought I'd throw one in involving the Zodiac killer which just jumped off the page at me as I was reading "Zodiac Unmasked" by Robert Graysmith.

The first police officer ever to interview chief suspect Arthur Leigh Allen about the Zodiac killings in 1969 was named John Lynch.

Many years later, in 2007, in the movie "Zodiac," Allen was played by actor John Carroll Lynch.

1-John McCarthy's nickname was Jack.
2-He was at Millers Court between 1 and 1:30AM the night MJK was murdered.
3-As her landlord he would have known that Barnett was no longer living with Mary and she would be alone sometime during the night.
4-He would aslo know that she was working as a prostitute.

Did John McCarthy take advantage of the Ripper hysteria to kill MJK? Was he actually the Ripper? Or is it just coincidence?

Are both major suspects in the Whitechapel murders.

Actually, I'm not convinced this is a coincidence. I've got this dreadful suspicion that one or the other was confused with the other somewhere along the line.

Michael Kidney gave his address as 38, Dorset Street at the time of the Stride inquest - and McCarthy was leasing that out in 1888. He also rented properties in Great Pearl Street, where - coincidentally - Sarah Lewis lived, although she lived at 34 GPS, which wasn't one of "McCarthy's [other] Rents" at the time, as far as I've been able to tell. McCarthy was only just starting out on his property empire at this time anyway: apart from the Great Pearl Street lets, he also rented out a handful of other properties on Dorset Street itself - even if he didn't actually own them at the time.

Thanks Sam....I remember the thread where you and some other members discovered that McCarthy grew a small slumlord empire, I just wasnt sure on the timing of that.

The Dock fire occured the night of the murder of Mary Ann Nichols. Coincidentally, this figured into John Piser's alibi for that night. (see Chapman inquest)

Perhaps the oddest coincidence is that many of the Senior officers agreed on a Ripper victim list..... ...using the evidence that we have all seen. Either by coincidence, by planning or due to mass hysteria.

I think Simons article is one of the best on the subject....even knowing he has ideas that are formulating from that observation perspective is exciting...looking forward to a Domino Theory at some point Mr Wood...cause we know they do all fit together somehow.

Your point on Dorset is a good one Sam....its not an anomaly that these 5 women had a connection to the same tough street in the East End full of lodging houses.

Did McCarthy own any properties that also figured into other Ripper crimes...that might be an interesting coincidence if so.
