Hi
As you probably know I have written a book on J K Stephen and have had an interest in the East End for many years, despite never having lived or had any connection with the area.
I have always said that it was because I became aware of the area during my Open University studies.
However, I have found out something really spooky. Recently I have been doing a spot of family history researches (while awaiting a reply from an agent - ie months!) and would you believe it I have found that my great great grandmother lived a couple of roads away from Bucks Row.
Even more earily the poor woman died at the age of 37 in 1894 and presumably due to her young age a coroner was brought in. Guess who? Yep Mr Wynne E Baxter!
So I now have a real family connection to the case.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
