Common themes and the Vienna suspect

O.K. so he may not be a serious suspect but it is interesting to note that the description supplied by the Vienniese informer contains a number of themes commonnly recurring in Ripper investigations: The name John Kelly, broad shoulders, mid thirties, walks like a sailor(whatever that means!), Liverpool connection and American connection.

While I'm tempted to suggest that 'walking like a sailor' means cautiously, I think it probably describes the rolling gait so well illustrated recently by Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow.

Of course, it could just be walking like a drunk as well. Or someone rather bow-legged (like my poor ol' Da!)
