Thanks chaps, that's every bobbies name on the 1881 & 1891 census for Bethnal Green accounted for. None of them gave evidence at the Old Bailey in 1888, so can't pin point them via that means and the only name that appears on both lists is a chap called Martin McDonald.Last edited by The Station Cat; 10-14-2017, 09:14 AM.

Actually Joshua I've just noticed something. Is that a dot over the 'i' or is it formed by one of the other letters curling over then being cut off at the top in the edit? If I've explained that clearly enough?Regards
