But Edwin Brough, owner of Barnaby and Burgho was a breeder of some successful show and tracking dogs.
Now Henry Farquharson had Newfoundlands, a kennel of over 129 dogs at one point. And owned a winner at Crufts (probably the most famous dog show in the world).
Can't help but ponder if they knew each other, and if so what information about the Whitechapel murders they may have shared.
