  • Dave White- Cogidubnus

Steve Blomer, Admin of JtRForums, has made the following sad announcement:

Sadly I have just been informed by his daughter that our member Dave White passed away earlier this year.
I am sure those who knew him would like to know.

Dave aka Cogidubnus was a long time member both here and JtRForums, and someone I always liked.

    Rest in Peace.

That’s sad news. I’ve exchanged quite a few posts and a few pm’s with him although he hadn’t posted recently. He was a nice guy and an intelligent, fair-minded poster. My condolences to his family. Thanks for letting us know Jon.

    RIP
    Regards

    Sir Herlock Sholmes.

Sad news, he'll be fondly remembered and equally missed. God speed Cog, safe travels.

His PM's to me used to make me laugh. He shared so much and taught me a lot about myself.

A couple of times during long drawn out threads he’d pm me and say “I’d let this one go and walk away if I were you Herlock.” I didn’t listen. Sorry Dave, you were right.

I have such great memories of him, kind, generous to a fault.
He was actually the very first person to buy the original release of My book.
                Missed but remembered

Just out of curiosity Steve, do you know how old Dave was? And do you know if he’d been ill?

                    Sorry Mike, no idea.
I know he died in July. His daughter gave no other details.

Sad news indeed, I always enjoyed our exchanges. He had a sarcasm I appreciated. The kind of person anyone might like to meet for a beer.

I just bought "Jack the Ripper Blood Lines" book largely based on his review at amazon

Like his book reviews, his posts always were insightful and balanced.

                        Sorry to hear this news.
