Cullen's book about Crippen and my book about Jack the Ripper.

Tom signed both for me. Don Rumbelow had got other Ripper writers to sign his book and I thought it was a good idea, so took mine along for people to sign. Tom was probably about to sign them or had signed them when the photo was taken.

What was Martin's last opinion on the case? Did he still believe David Cohen was the likeliest Ripper suspect?

I did read somewhere Harry, that Martin thought that Nathan Kaminsky and David Cohen were no longer the same person.
That doesn't mean he still didn't suspect Cohen though

As a newcomer to this area, already I have seen what massive value Martin Fido added to the investigation. Sadly, it seems he can add no more, but maybe, just maybe, he now knows the answer? RIP.

Oh, just spotted this thread. So sad. Martin was such a nice chap. I once had a chat with him about some research I was doing and I accidentally got my words confused, coming out with a very rude phrase. He would not let it go. Just kept teasing me. I blush really easily and was half mortified, half crying with laughter.
                    Farewell and thank you.
