  • Robert J. Lees Biography, Photos, Ripper Story, etc

Hello everyone. I recently came across a variety of interesting websites, articles and photographs about Robert James Lees, the Spiritualist who is purported to have had a psychic encounter with Jack the Ripper. They don't seem to have been posted before so I decided to put them up.

The following website devoted to Lees is very extensive:

It describes itself as "An objective investigation and assessment of the life and work of author, journalist, social reformer and spiritualist, Robert James Lees "

There's an index on the left which will take you to many interesting sub-topics, including a biography of Lees penned by his daughter, the tale of Jack the Ripper being spotted by Lees on an omnibus, Lees and Spiritualism, even Lees and 'Spirit Photography'.

The attached 'Spirit Photo' of Robert James Lees was taken by Robert Boursnell in 1896.
