Ah, so there really IS a mystery? Thought so.

So you just can play with words. Why don't you tell us more about MJK (nom de guerre) the secret agent ?

She really was wealthy in France, and pretended to be poor in London, that's it ?

Remember, Lynn, some posters are interested.

    Cheers

      not enough francs

      Hello David. Thanks.

"She really was wealthy in France, and pretended to be poor in London, that's it?"

Wealthy in France? No, makes no sense.

      Cheers.

        Don't be shy, Lynn.
You said you didn't "know" she was an East End prostitute.

        Cheers

There is the feeling of at least higher class involved in the Paris story. Of course, I am not enough of a socialologist to know the contrast between the British and French class systems of the LVP. The whole incident does seems to have been important to her.

Is there any other source than JB for the MJK in Paris story?

Some short stories by Maupassant, perhaps.

              That is correct--I don't.

                Hello CF. Thanks.

No other source of which I am aware.

                  As for the 5 questions:

                  1. Who WAS Jack the Ripper.

                  2. Is this a picture of Frederick Abberline? (see below)

                  3. Was Prince Albert, Duke of Clarence, really involved in a homosexual affair with Montague Druitt?

                  4. Were any of the ghost stories of the time of JTR real.

                  5. What was the motive for the murders?

                    Then let me help you.
Yes, she was living in the East End.
                    And she was poor.
                    And she was prostitute.

                    Cheers

                      Hi Barbara

If that's Frederick Abberline then I'm Duncan Goodhew...but I would just point out that I still (just) have hair (see profile pic) and am a lifelong non-swimmer!

                      All the best

Verrry funny, lol. Well, that's the picture that authors Wolf Vanderlinden[1] and Donald Rumbelow supposed, aka Wikipedia.

                        Ok, Rob House pick?

Then I owe you--for a night time sleep aid. (heh-heh)

Yes I'd probably go for that one...if there really is a pic of him extant then that one may be it...it certainly more closely resembles the newspaper sketches than all the others...

I'm looking forward to the pic of him accepting the local horticultural society prize for best single rose...or as a guest at a (distant) family wedding...but I doubt it'll happen some day soon...
