There was actually more than one crystal discovery all at ruins which makes it all the more mysterious, when wind hits the skulls they emit a tone which many believe is a form of singing!
Another mystery of the skulls is that when light is shone into them they have strange reflective prisms!

I would love to know who made them, they are lovely.

With most films we usually wait until they are released on rental, when I was first ill we went to the movies and I almost passed out becuase my heart was one on, i was dizzy and felt sick, I often run out of movie theatres to be sick, until I get my heart sorted, we will watch films at home!

My son, Bradley want's to watch "Finding Nemo" when he comes home from nursary, but I will take him to the museums in town first, I love teaching him about our history.

I have a photo of my grandfather on my computer, which was posted on here somewere. He has his thumbs up and is smiling, despite he house being partially destroyed by the Blitz, both my son and daughter always show him the thumbs up which is really touching.

You are right there are several crystal skulls, one of them is at the British Museum, two are in Europe and the third one is somewhere in Canada.

I don´t know if you know this... but in Mexico City and also in Chichén Itzá there are two temples decorated in its entirety with skulls carved on the stone, one after the other and even today... on the 2nd of November: " The Day Of The Dead "
people buy skulls made out of sweet, this day its a celebration where people go and decorate their relatives tombs, with bright colour paper designs and candles in the evening. It is a jolly and colourful occasion, with music, fire-crackers and of course, piñatas.

Also, in Chichén Itzá there is a strange mysterious phenomenon with echoes. If you clap your hands, naturally you expect to have a reproduction of the same clap several times, but amazingly, when you clap once, what you hear back its the sound of a bird !!! and when you align yourself further back between the temple of the Feathered Serpent... and the temple of the Jaguar, then... when you clap you hear two echos!! even though you have only clapped ONCE. The first sound its the bird echo shortly followed by the sound of the rustle of a snake, like a rattle snake.

Isn´t that wierd and amazing ?

I´m very sympathetic to hear about your heart condition Mike, I do hope it is sorted out and you don´t have to wait too long for this treatment, but you are doing the right thing in finding real enjoyment in your children and life, just like your grand-father did during the Blitz he is certainly a great inspiration of defiance and NEVER ever be defeated ! Come what may !! That is the great spirit Mike.

As a child I had Irritable Hip and was told I wouldn't walk, I soon proved them wrong, I had a sense of purpose and I wanted to go places, by the age of 7 I had stomach ulcers which really made a mess of my primary school years, but with a good diet and exercise I overcome them.
By my teens, I was hitting the gym everyother day, training with a couple of top Rugby players and I was running, cycling and swimming daily.

After being diagnosed I thought whats the point, but I have been amazed at how nice everyone really is, how helpful people can be, and just what "Family" means.

Every night I suffer chest pains and irregular heart beats but I just get on with it. Life is too precious to spend it laid down!!

You ought to have it looked at by a cardiologist. I don´t like that heart pain.
Ask your GP to refer you to a cardiologist pronto !

Do not just leave it in the hope it will go away Mike. It could be just anxiety over the stress of looking after your dear wife or not. So the best you can do is to see a cardiologist to make you proper tests, the last thing you want is to leave this world. Honestly do not delay in doing this.

BTW Mike there is going to be a Fortean Time Un-convention this year ! The magazine has not announced the date yet, just that there will be one. Peter and I have made plans to go. I just love this Un-conventions, they usually have professors talking about all kinds of phenomena. Actually... I bought a book in one of the Un-conventions about Crystal Skulls it is called: " The Mystery Of The Crystal Skulls " by Chris Morton and Ceri Louise Thomas. Thorsons (an Imprint of Harper Collins publishers.)

I am onto my 7th cardiologist, 5 doctors, a department of work and pensions medical review board, loads of nurses, specialists and a proffesor who asked me "what would you do"
The problem is, whilst everyone agrees there is something wrong, no one can agree on a solution!!
I have already had "Ablation therapy" where a load of the "wiring" in the heart was burnt away, loads of ECG's, 24 hour ECG's, Heart Scans!

I have another 24hr ECG planned, and another heart scan on the way towards the end of the month!!

Whilst in the town centre to visit the museums we stopped by a bookstore and I picked up a copy of "Mysterious and Bizarre people" by Tom Slemen, and "Alien Encounters" by Rupert Matthews.
I have thousands of books on the paranormal and if I am well the un-convention might be an option

Hi there !

There is an old Native American legend that describes the existence of 13 ancient crystal skulls, the size of human skulls, that are said to sing or speak. I have to say I´m really intrigued by this first hand. My aunt in Mexico has a native American working at her house called Bernardo a really gentle kind loving soul who had terminal cancer, the doctors had told him he did not have too much time to live. So he went back to his home town to be cured with special plants and some other things which he was secretive about, anyway Bernardo returned after a few months full of health, rosy cheeks and my aunt could not believe him so she sent him to the doctor who confirmed all his terminal cancer had gone. We could not believe it either. Not even my father who is a doctor in medicine nor my other aunt who is also a doctor believe this could happened. So personally I´m intrigued, mystified and fascinated by this ancient culture with cures we still do not understand.

My God Mike !

There is no doubt our NHS is not what it used to be. I think if I were you, I would get a European Health Insurance Card. Peter and I got ours from the Internet and forget about our incompetent NHS.

I have to tell you that I suffered for FOUR long years here where the doctors were telling there was nothing wrong with me, one idiot doctor at BUPA told me that all I needed to do was exercises when I had been telling her I was so tired picking up a pen seemed an enormous effort. Anyway to cut the story short, I went to Spain and in less than 5 minutes the Spanish doctor told me I had a tumour the size of a baby´s head and I needed to be operated at once, otherwise I would become an emergency case. They did all the pre-op tests that same day and they fit me in on the first available slot which was in less than a week so I returned for the operation a few days later, the care I received was absolutely excellent. Right now, I´m in the process of putting a complaint against the NHS and my insurance company has authorize the funds for my fight against this NHS fiasco. Even our osteopath goes abroad ( France ) whenever she needs to see a doctor. I have no faith in our doctors nor our bug infested hospitals. There are exceptions of course, and I hoped maybe there was a good hospital where you live. Amongst the exceptions are the doctors in Oxford, Cambridge, London as some other few places in the country but the rest... we could have better treatment from our cats !

Mike if you make it to the Un-convention Peter and I will be really thrilled to meet with you.

I also bought Harris's "True Face of JTR", "JTR the Bloody Truth" amd "The Ripper File" were he mentions his involvement with Clarke.

Only seven months to go !!

I was aware that Melvin made wonderful oboes, he also made them for the Royal Philarmonic. He told me once that he went to Amsterdam to get pieces to repair old oboes too. He knew how to make them from scratch to a high standard, very talented he was in more than one area.

Peter and I attended his funeral which was very moving. He died on a first of January. His widow gave me a Teddy bear which says : " I love you " originally Melvin gave it to her but she could not bear to have it or see it, so she thought that as I loved Melvin she gave it to me to remember him by. I thought it was a lovely gesture.

I like Fanthorpe's books and he always gives good TV. My only problem with him is his stated position that he will never accept any historical evidence that contradicts or questions the divinity of Christ.

At one of the Fortean Times Un-conventions, he gave a lecture and then we went over to meet him. as you can imagine he was absolutely great ! We thoroughly enjoyed his lecture.

He is in a parish in South Wales. I have to agree with you, he is awesome ! Spell binding ! We were all in our seats hanging on to his every word.
And yes, we did see all his Friday nights T.V. series.

There have been several people like Jeremy Beal who have lectured at the Fortean Times Un-convention. His lecture was quite funny and sad at the same time, he told us how he was so depressed at one time in his life, that he tried to commit suicide but the suicide bid failed ! The way he told it sounded very funny how it failed and from there on he decided to do something with his life. I really liked that one too.

Mike you must like Jenni Randall she is a very good lecturer too. I think the last lecture I heard was the incident in Bala, Wales, not far away from where we live. She is cracker too.

On the last Un-convention we had the Kennedy Assassination by an U.S. lecturer who lives in the Czech Republic. He took the official Warren report view and he was hissed by the public !

Yep. We live very near lake Bala. Then you missed her lecture on the strange crashing from the ski at lake Bala by Jenni Randall ( I do not believe there is alien life ) but this incident was certainly very strange and how the trees caught fire after a huge object descended there from the ski.

Also our equivalent of the Loch-Ness monster at bala was seen only by one person about 25 years ago, never the less it is still a very interesting thing since this lake its bottomless just like the one in Scotland.

Yes, all the authors and lecturers will be there for the signing, the thing is that I´m dying to know who is going to be on the podium giving the lectures.
Graham Hancock was there and I bought his intriguing book about lost continents ( rather submerged continents ) in all his underwater explorations he has done in the Gulf of Mexico ( if you see the Gulf of Mexico between Florida, Cuba and Cancún... the hole is a near perfect circle as though it was striken by a ball fire making that hole in the sea, of course that happens to be where the Maya culture florished long before the Piramids in Egypt were built. I absolutely adore the area.
