I was wondering if anyone knew the origins of the story about Annie walking from London to Windsor to discover if her husband had died. It appears in a number of accounts about her and also in Neal Shelden's biography but there's no reference to which source or newspaper it came from. I'd like to trace the article and read it. Also, I seem to recall a story about Annie saying something to Amelia Farmer /Palmer about how now that her husband is dead she's 'done for'. Any help with this would be greatly welcomed.
