The Daily Mail is the original purveyor of Fake News and race baiting bulls**t. In 1938 they had complained about the influx of jews from the continent while at the same time coming out in support of Oswald Mosley's brown shirts marching down Mile End Road. They are not called "Daily Heil!" for nothing. In more recent years, they run weekly front-page articles using the following template:

"A Row erupted in Brussels last night over [insert some bollox here]. Barmey EU technocrats have again conspired to raid Britain's coffers. Mr. [insert some tw*t there] said "we will not be pushed around any longer".

Most of what they wrote had of course no correlation to Earth 1.0.

Good riddance, but I'm sure there will be some other idiot running the shop soon.

Cheers.

You are so right, Svensson :

More like "no chapati", since we're talking about the Daily Heil.

EU doctors in UK are not “a threat to patients” as Daily Mail says. If they left, that WOULD put patients in danger
"The Daily Mail runs yet another misleading front page article on 24 September headlined “Patients at risk from EU doctors” and alleging that “thousands of EU doctors can work in the UK without basic safety checks.” Online, the headline becomes an even greater insult to about 30 000 “EU doctors” – 10% of the total – working in the NHS: “Patients ARE at risk from thousands of EU medics.”

Medical devices: Daily Mail misrepresents EU system and fails to mention reforms
"An article on medical devices – such as implants and artificial hips – published in Daily Mail on 29 June contains serious inaccuracies and leaves out crucial points. In particular, it misrepresents the current system for the approval of such devices and neglects to point out that the EU has taken a series of important steps to strengthen that system."

Rubbish claims in The Daily Mail
"Daily Mail claims that EU regulations will force householders to use 5 bins for recycling are complete rubbish. What’s worse is that this is recycled rubbish as the Daily Mail ran with the same type of scare story in September 2011 when they incorrectly claimed the EU was foisting 9 bins on householders."

Daily Mail scare story on Europol rebutted – but Mail removes important points from our letter
"The Commission recently proposed limited changes to the way the EU’s law enforcement agency Europol works. The aim is to tackle cross-border crime – for example drug dealing and human trafficking – better. Many would no doubt conclude that better police cooperation against such major criminal activities would be of major benefit to the UK. But if it does not agree, the UK can decide not to opt-in to the proposals given its general option under the Lisbon Treaty to remain outside EU justice measures."

Response to Daily Mail assertions on EU Development Aid
"On December 11th, The Daily Mail carried an article with misleading assertions about the deciding and spending of EU Development aid in Uganda and Mozambique"
https://blogs.ec.europa.eu/ECintheUK...velopment-aid/

Daily Mail claims EU wants to bar the Famous Five and Peter Pan from schools
"Re: Now Brussels takes aim at the Famous Five! Books portraying ‘traditional’ families could be barred (Daily Mail, 7th November 2012)
The European Union has no power under the EU treaties to decide what is taught in UK schools or to decide certain books cannot be made available. There is not the remotest chance of the European Commission making a proposal to “bar” Famous Five books as such a proposal would be illegal."

I could go on, but I have work to do
