  • Is this in bad taste?

Just seen this electronic (possibly also on paper) flyer issued by the Hastings True Crime Museum.

My friend saw it and thought the juxtaposition of "the Ripper", the hand with the knife in the alley, and the words "Family Fun" in rather poor taste.

    What do you think?

Personal I find it in extremely poor taste.

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

I have to agree Helena. It’s sounds like some kind of Jack The Ripper ‘fun park.’

        Not good.

Well done for pointing it out

Nah ... most kids nowadays are running around the streets with a knife like that tucked in their waist band.

That museum has rated very well on review sites like Trip Advisor.

Might not be every parents' idea of family fun

The people who run it certainly work very hard and under quite challenging conditions - it's freezing in there in winter and in summer they miss out on all the sunshine. They brainstorm to think up new events and ways to promote the museum.

The family fun bit apparently relates to a rat hunt in the 'sewers.' If they're going to have kids dancing along playing on their recorders, it might be a bit stressful for the parents.

I'm sure some SJW, somewhere will be offended...so I think the poster is great.

I must say, the picture does seem to lack inclusivity as far as left-handed serial killers are concerned.

There's nothing for it : you'll have to climb the Scala Sancta on your knees.
