  • Whitechapel Society Meeting - 1st June 2013

    All,

I have recently been informed that Junes meeting will be in the basement room of The Aldgate Exchange Pub on Saturday 1st June 2013, commencing at 7.30pm.

Tommy Walsh (of Groundforce fame) and Ed Stow are giving a talk on the Bethnal Green Tube Disaster. Entry is free for members or £5 for non-members (includes entry plus copy of Whitechapel Society Journal - 50th edition!)

Now its well known Ed and I have our problems (and no doubt will continue to do so), however I know Ed has done a lot of work in connection with the Bethnal Green Tube Disaster Memorial Fund, and I commend him for that.

Come along and show your support on what I'm sure will be an interesting talk.

That's generous of your Monty - is there a London Job on in the daytime?

Don't believe all the hype on Casebook Ed,

      I'm not all bad.

Yes, as per tradition, I believe there will be a heavy London Job contingent at this event.

I hope to be there however I've some work to do for the Conference in the evening.

Good luck with it, though I'm sure you don't need it.

I was told there was also a 'London Job' event on Saturday, 1st June, daytime - 12.30 at Tower Hill. Is this still on - or is it a false rumour?
