  • A Veritable Gem for British Criminologists!

    A 1970s serial sex killer who murdered three, maybe four, teenage girls in Greater Manchester and recieved a rare whole life tariff.

    Trevor Joseph Hardy was born in Collyhurst in 1946, and moved in the 1950s to Newton Heath, where he was a petty criminal.

    He killed three teenage girls;

    1. Wanda Skala - murdered in 1973 with a paving stone
    2. Sharon Massoph
    3. Janet Lesley Stewart - murdered 31st December 1974

    Was linked to a fourth murder but not convicted.

    Handed a whole life tariff in 1977 and remains in Wakefield prison.

    All this gleaned from a Q&A on the internet.

    Anyone with any more information, add it. This is a case we must record and hopefully will end up in print.

    Full details can be read in the chapter, "Mad or Bad?" in Cause of Death, by Geoffrey Garret and Andrew Nott.

    He murdered three girls from 1974 to 1976 - I have written a wikipedia page on him - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Hardy
