Unmentioned Possible Victims question

Has this come up at all anywhere, and if so is there any corroborating info - of the possibility that JtR killed men too? I know there were a number of other female murders around that time they'd wondered could be ripper victims but what about men - any murders of males in similar fashion that they might have dismissed solely on the basis of gender and short sighted presumption?

Or children too, even...
