    The wrong Joe?

I'm whole-heartedly with you on the first sentence. I think my version of the second would be "I wouldn't be surprised to learn the police even interviewed the murderer".
All this and not one mention of the B person....

Dave, that's evil. We were getting on so well too! Sorry, Heinrich.

Hello David. Um, I think it works in ANY language--well, until you get as old as me. (heh-heh-heh-heh)

        Cheers.

It had no impact internally or externally, in its own time.
How can we know what, if any. impact it had?

          Regards, Bridewell.

I take it Jonathan meant no apparent impact, as no official paperwork survived consistent with what Mac. wrote. We remember Anderson was convinced someone had seen the murderer, so police officials did hold different opinions on the matter.
Which should not surprise us when a murder case remains officially unsolved.

If I can throw out an open question here.

Does anyone know if Mac's. reply to the Sun (the Memorandum), was ever published?

I don't see it in the Casebook Press Reports, I'm sure it must have been thoroughly looked for.

              Thanks, Jon S.

                Something's fishy...

Hello David. The only suspect caught red-handed was Aaron Kosminski. (heh-heh)
Could this mean Kozminski is a red herring Lynn?

Hello Greg. Something fishy about that remark.

                  Cheers.

                      Hi Stephen,

You think that the "City PC who was (on) a beat near Mitre Square" was a City PC? It's not a popular view. In fact I thought I was in a minority of one! Harvey, Watkins or A.N. Other?

                      Regards, Bridewell.
