  • Dr. P. Quinlivan

    Hi All,

Do we know why Dr. Llewellyn was called to the Nichols murder and not Dr. P. Quinlivan, Divisional Surgeon for J Division?

    Regards,

    Simon

    Hi Simon

I suppose the obvious answer would be that Llewellyn was the nearest doctor, as Dr Blackwell was in the Berner St affair.

The Divisional Surgeon`s main responsibilty was attending to the troops of J Division.

        Hi Jon,

Drats! That pesky Chris Scott beat me to it.

You were absolutely right about Llewellyn being closer.

But unless he was on holiday I see no reason why, as Divisional Surgeon, he shouldn't have been involved. Bagster Phillips was Divisional Surgeon (H). He rolled up his sleeves and got stuck in.

        Regards,

        Simon

          Hi Simon

Aye, you`ll have to quicker than that to beat Chris.

Regarding Dr Phillips, he lived in Spital Sq (I think), a stones throw from Dorset St and Hanbury St. I would have thought the obvious choice of Doctor to call.

Well, Llewellyn had to make "quinlivan" somehow.

Did you see that, Sam? A doctor, no less, living a stone's throw from Dorset and Hanbury Streets. Hope he stayed indoors every night or at the very least left his watch and cash at home. He wouldn't have stood an earthly would he? Hmmmmm????

              Love,

              Caz
