    you can't trust eyewitness testimony
    I agree but i think you can get a general feel of height and age and perhaps rough idea of clothes. I have an open mind to all the eyewitnesses, I believe at least a few of them must be geniuine and had seen the ripper.

    Its as if through the eyewitness testimonies we are looking at Jack in a hazy mist, we can see his outline in the half light but thats all. And what we see is a stout guy, in reasonably respectable clothing, but thats about it.

    Unless you want to include the Farmer assault as a potential ripper victim, then its a different ball game.

      I've said it before and I'll say it again eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
