Don't know if this counts, but I find it utterly hilarious. Itzhak Perlman "shreds" Mendelssohn's violin concerto:

To the uninatiated, this is a fake, overdubbed soundtrack... but it's very cleverly done. Worth sticking with to the end.

Well...they probably meant it for the best. I keep thinking of what a song based on the poetry of Alexandre Pushkin would sound like if the lyrics were translated into say "Danish" or "Mongolian". Something is always lost in translation.

The kids initially were an annoyance, but subsequently one "accepted" them in the spirit of the original song.

Do you love me now that I can dance? Except, he obviously couldn't. But it does suggest how an 1888 fixed point policeman kept the circulation going.

This thread is hilarious! It kind of reminds me of bands with stupid names-which totally drives me nuts-theyre supposed to be artists and these are the names they came up with?!? Especially irritating are the ones that are actually great bands!!so in the spirit of this thread-Bands with the stupidest(worst) names:

Limp Bizkit-Fred Durst is a moron
Bare Naked Ladies- The worst name ever
Green Day-the dumb name is inversely proportional to how good they are.
The Band-the boring name is inversely proportional to how great they were.
Hootie and the blowfish-dumb name dumb band
Dave Mathews Band-how original
Dinosaur Jr.---just noooooooo
Bone, Thugs and Harmony-LOL!!!!
Live- (pronounced like live in concert)
A-ha--more like uh-oh
The The-my aren't we clever-NOT!
Nickelback-theyre as bad as their stupid name
The Spice Girls-Because you know "spice" means hot sex!!
Was(Not Was)---you mean wait what?
Bush-Ugh!
Matchbox Twenty
Maroon five
The Presidents of the United States

last three just dumb and unimaginative!

got any more?
