Does anyone know which number court Edgar Edwards was tried in?

The OB was rebuilt between 1903 and 1906. For my forthcoming book on George Chapman, I have tried in vain to find out if the ‘badly-constructed and ill-lighted’ court number one, in which Chapman's trial was held in March 1903, was in the old building or the newly constructed part. I have spent hours searching contemporaneous newspapers and have read loads about the OB online, and still cannot discover this small fact.

I found a reporter's sketch of Edgar Edwards in the dock at the OB court in Feb 1903, and the courtroom looked modern, but, again, despite paying a tenner to read the contemporaneous newspapers, and perusing his online trial transcript, I failed to find any reference to which court he was tried in.

I wonder if there is anyone at the OB who can help?

    Any ideas?
