Are any of our British members following the case of Shawn Tyson, a 16 year old street thug, who murdered two young British tourists?
Two young Britons, James Kouzaris and James Cooper, found themselves drunk and alone in one of Sarasota's most dangerous neighborhoods. Two men/teenagers approached them demanding money and when they claimed to have none, they were shot multiple times. Very tragic case.
What surprises me about this case is the willingness of witnesses to come forward. Even though Tyson is the only perpetrator who has been identified (there was a second person present according to witnesses), it is usually really, really tough for police to get anyone in violent, crime ridden neighborhoods to cooperate with an investigation.
