Good evening Herlock, well, here goes:

1. Born in England but living in Germany.
2. My mum has always had a keen interest in the case, and it brushed off onto me.
3. I can't remember the first book, but in line with Q2 answer, I stayed up and watched a documentary in 1988. At the age of 9 it made me have a nightmare, but it was the first nightmare I wasn't scared from, only fascinated.
4. I would like to think the C5, but to be honest I haven't delved into the likely victims after MJK.
5. I don't know, I like to read people's ideas on here; I do honestly believe somebody has named JtR.
6. What was the reason for the level of mutilations, especially MJK.
7. Tough one, Lechmere I guess as he most of missed JtR buy minutes.
8. To be honest, it's always changing with what I read on here.
9. Not really.
10. I believe he has been named, but not all the t's have been crossed for the complete answer.

How do we know that Aaron didn't go to a private Asylum in March 1889?!

I think that the implication of the statement is that he was in an asylum from that time on, and we know that there were times after that when he was not confined.

True, I was assuming that they were referring to Aaron Kosminski, which might be assuming too much. That might be the only thing we know for sure that they got wrong about him. I was thinking that they got the time of his confinement to a lunatic asylum wrong too, but actually it was Macnaughten who got that wrong, again, if Aaron was the Kosminski that they were referring to.

Why should Macnaghten be wrong about that either?!

How do we know that Aaron didn't go to a private Asylum in March 1889?!

The only thing that could be raised is that of the died soon after, HOWEVER, that can only be applied at all IF Kosminski is Aaron.. and that is by no means certain.

(And even if it is, that may be explained by confusion over his transfer to Leavesden, but that's an entirely different issue)

On Mac, yes it is very odd how the memorandum is full of so many mistakes on Druitt, and on Ostrog.

I would again mention, that there are no known mistakes with the person he calls Kosminski. Again oddly unlike Druitt and Ostrog, he gives no additional identifiers such as Initials or first name to this person.

I'll answer that one. I find it puzzling that in the 2 best known cases of policemen naming a suspect - Anderson/Swanson and Macnaughten - they get so many things wrong about their leading suspect.

Could you tell me what Swanson and Anderson get wrong about Kosminski?

Can I suggest an additional question, please? Is there any aspect of the case that you find particularly puzzling?

In my case it would be - why were the police holding up the opening of Kelly's room to await the bloodhounds? The room would be full of Kelly's scent, and that of blood etc, and would only have JtR's identifiable scent if he left a coat or some other item of clothing, and they could be sure it was his, which was never going to be likely.

Incidentally, I always think the bloodhounds should have been called Fido and Begg....

1) Denver, but grew up in Minneapolis.
2) Star Trek Episode, Wolf in the Fold.
3) Philip Jose Farmer's Riverworld series,
4) Six - CR plus Tabram. Would accept 3 to 7. Nichols, Chapman, and Eddowes definite. Kelly, Tabram, Stride probable. Mackenzie possible.
5) UN Owen. David Cohen. James Hardiman.
6) What are the names of everyone killed by the Ripper murderer. This should answer who Mary Kelly really was, answer the TorsoRipper theory, and exonerate or condemn several of the suspects.
7) George Abberline. I'd pick his brain on all suspects that were investigated and why they were rejected. I'd also pick his brains about the witnesses = were they investigated, how accurate and truthful did he think they were, etc. If I can't count Abberline as a witness, then definitely Dr Phillips as the one who knew the most about the medical aspects of the case.
8) I went with the C5, but am less certain now.
9) People who don't let facts get in the way of a theory. Any author claiming to have definitely solved the case.
10) Wildly unlikely the case will ever be solved.
11) Any that provide general information about events and people, instead of selling a final solution.
12) George Capel Scudamore Lechmere.

My favored suspects I would rate as poor. I don't think there are any good suspects and most named suspects fall between lousy and ridiculous.
