If indeed it was a freakish accident, I can well understand how it might be hushed up, however lets be realistic, we must not forget that a certain Lee Harvey Oswald was Kennedy's assassin, and anything else ie, a tragic accident was a act of god.

Oswald was a loon sorry a loon who was able to easily purchase a lethal firearm the blame for Kennedy's death lays at Oswald feet but what if our loon wasn't able to get his hands on a lethal firearm? .

If you have ever had a gun fired right by your side, I think you would notice it.
So how come those secret service agents sat next to him never heard it?

I think loyalty to fellow agent might make people keep quiet and lie also think how stupid and incompetent the secret service would look over this.

I have just watched a Channel 5 documentary on the assassination of JFK, with allegedly new evidence on the shooting.
I don't know if this has been shown before in the UK , or indeed shown and debated in the states, but it surely is the conspiracy to end conspiracies.
We now have a secret service agent armed with a cocked assault rifle, discharge the weapon in Kennedy's direction as the car he was in suddenly lunged forward.
A complete accident......and because of this, along with the exploding impact of the head , combined with the whiff of gunpowder witnessed by persons from the following cars make this a sure fire case, as gunpowder smells always drift backwards..
So two gunmen folks , not Oswald and someone on the grass knoll , but a trigger happy agent, who was having a bad day.

Hi Richard,I watched that myself and I downloaded the book called mortal error which I am half way through.The book was first published in 1992 and George hickey the secret service man who it looks like shot Kennedy sued and won he died a couple of years ago so this story has appeared again.I personally never believed in an organised plot to kill jfk and from what I've seen and read about this accidental death theory seems to tick all the boxes and fill in all the gaps.The science of the ballistics in this theory certainly stand up and I personally think this would explain people lying and covering up certain things.
