The Royal Family - Who Is Being a Jerk?

My wife’s part Yorkshire, her dad was from there and she lived in York for several years. Her stepdad was the RSM of the Prince of Wales Own Yorkshire Regiment. Eh up!

That’s true, but they pointedly told the Queen that anyone can lead a life of service. Perhaps our American colleagues can keep us updated on how many hospitals they open, charity events they attend etc. in the coming years. Before Covid, senior Royals like Charles and Anne were clocking up around 500 such engagements a year.Originally posted by Svensson View PostBut Mr. Barnett, Harry and Meghan are no longer Royals.... I for example, spent the day working and NOT visiting vaccination centres (although I would like to get my shot rather sooner than later).
P.S.: I'm not a Royal.

im an east coast guy through and through and i can tell you having known and met many (tie)dyed in the wool californians they are definitely NOT the cool, laid back stereotype. tjey may want to project that image but its bs. they are some of the most uptight, conceited, and arrogant people i have ever met in my life. even the surfers now are dicks.
my aunt whos a die hard san francisco old hippy said this when i asked her why californians are so cocky:
"northern californians look down on southern californians and southern californians look down on everyone else. its because we know we live in the best place on earth." LOL! true story.
if felt like saying best place on earth? your the serial killer, natural disaster and fakeness capital of the world!!! but since shes my aunt on my wifes side i decided not to.

Yorkshire folk,
those who aspire to be Yorkshire folk

I have a distant cousin who’s a social worker in LA. When we communicate directly, all seems quite normal, but when she is conversing with her LA friends on FB the language gets a bit ‘Californian’. LOL!Originally posted by Abby Normal View Post

Today was a Day of Reflection in the U.K. Charles broadcast an inspiring speech and William and Kate visited a vaccination centre in Westminster Abbey. Haven’t heard a word from Harry. Many of the people who waved and cheered as he and his bride rode through Windsor in their carriage will have lost friends or family members or have died themselves.
Perhaps he and Meghan burnt a joss-stick or two in the privacy of their garden in remembrance. Or perhaps they were too busy.
I can’t believe I’m turning into a Royalist at my age!

The main reason so many British people struggle to see eye-to-eye with Meghan – well, aside from the whole “quitting the Royal family” thing – is the language she uses. Sadly, we just don’t understand her. Because she doesn’t speak English. She speaks Californian.
It’s a curious language, Californian. Essentially, it’s like a hippie version of corporate management-speak: schmaltzy gushing mixed with robotic jargon. It’s the language of people who are perpetually boasting about how “humbled” they are. And there appears to be nothing on earth they aren’t “passionate” and “excited” about, or “empowered” and “inspired” by.”

One of the ‘racist’ headlines about Meghan said something about her speaking a different language. The language in question was ‘hippy-sh*t’.

Yes that’s the bloke Gary. He couldn’t put her in a car and drive her to a psychiatrist or a counsellor. The evil Royal Family apparently knew that they had a suicidal family member on their hands but forbade her any treatment because of the potential bad publicity. Not concerned in the slightest of course that any bad publicity might ensue from a Royal suicide.Originally posted by MrBarnett View PostI think the world is divided into those who think this sort of thing is a load of old codswallop and those who don’t.
