As it turns out, the Ripper Cabal is real...it's just not who you thought it was

There's always been questions about the Marginalia, however they were made with common sense and not outright unsupported accusations.

We are at a stage now where he who shouts loudest, irrelevant of supporting evidence, seems to hold more sway.

I say seem as obviously that's not the case. The serious researchers have now turned to Ripperologist to present their research. A place where it can be considered without the silly slobberers jumping in before they have even read or thought about what is presented.

This is why the Rip is seemingly having a bumper year.

My opinion though.

However yes, these new thinkers are merely rehashing old ideas and fueling the paranoia.

The truth will out, it always does. So whilst they fail to produce their 'truths', they rest of us will carry on and see what we can find....then keep it for ourselves.

I have been questioning the marginalia for years, long before certain parties even raised their head in the field and wanted to smack the crap out of a certain little arrogant pissant who recently decided to state that Neville appeared on the documentary before any "serious questioning" of the marginalia occurred.

These people are climbing on the backs of their betters and then attempting to take the credit for every shred of progress. It's really quite revolting.

This has been noted for some months Ally.

The inability to let posters think for themselves, the constant laying of biased 'evidence'.

I have been label a pro Swanson Marginalia supporter and a Kosminskite. This because I raise evidences for these issues. I'm not, the marginalia doesn't sit well with me and neither does Kosminski.

The reason why I'm labelled as such is due to my beliefs, a true ALL ROUND representation of the information held.

Yet I'm labelled and pidgeon holed. Nah, I'm just laying both sides out.

However to some, that's not important.

There has been an accusation of a "Ripper Cabal" floating around out there for a couple of years. When pressed on these accusations, the accusers generally turn tail and flee, or begin a song and dance routine, blustering and capering to deflect.

As it turns out, there is a Cabal, and the very people who have been making the accusations appear to be the ringleaders.

Take a look around. Sensible posters have thrown up their hands and walked off when confronted with these dancing fools. New posters are greeted and groomed by the fringe element, encouraged and led with promises of "new theories" and "new research" and fighting the "stodgy old guard" (who doesn't like a revolution).

Whenever there is reasoned dissent of their lunacy, whenever flaws are pointed out, they either go silent, attempt to get the person making the argument in trouble, or send in the clown to do a caper and dance routine to distract from such petty little things like, oh, fact.

Who knew? Turns out there was a cabal after all. Welcome to a new decade in Ripperology, where any sort of outright stupidity is cherished, as long as it directly contradicts established fact. Because a new idea, no matter how idiotic, is always better than what's always been.
