Just my view. They've spent a fortune on unproven players such as Carroll and Henderson. I'm not convinced by them. Time will tell I suppose.

Good luck, though, for the season......and take it easy....you'll get a bad back!!

Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea all draw in their first games.

And Manchester United struggle against West Brom.

Looks like an interesting footie season is ahead.

from a glass half full perspective, we are two points behind the leaders and they still need to play us !! Onwards and upwards !!

I remember going to the Liverpool v Swansea game in 1981...It was very poignant indeed - it was LFC's first game at Anfield after Bill Shankly died. The Liverpool Supporters Club was packed with both Reds and Swans fans. I ended up getting in to the match just before half time! Tosh was managing Swansea at the time and was doing really well. The game ended up 2:2 with Bob Latchford scoring and Terry Mac getting 2 goals if I recall correctly...

i went to that game myself.......i was only about 12 at that time, possibly 11. My parents met Shanks at a Liverpool -Trabzonspor game in 77, still have the old polaroid photos taken at the game.

Indeed, probably one of the most famous Swansea moments until this current campaign starts, before my time and a lot of Swansea fans like me have been brought up (and bored?) on the story of how we went up 4 divisions in 4 years and then down 4 division in 4 yrs in the 80's and now we've done it again. Exciting.

                            And Celtic? Damn Right.

Hail Hail the Celts are Here

Northampton Town also did that in the 60s, didn't they?

I'm a Man City fan things look pretty good right now,Roberto Mancini is the man. Thought the 5 to 1 win over Tottenham would be the biggest win this past week but then Man U scores 8 on Arsenal. Should be a fun year but maaaaaaaaaan do I miss hearing Ian Holloway's post match interviews. Dude could read the dictionary and it would be interesting
