Hi Sister, perhaps things are different since we live in different areas. Thankfully, I have received very little if any negative feedback on my hobby. But the, co-workers aren't friends, so I hope you told her to go to (as opposed to 'From') Hell. LOL. I must say that any girl who thought historical crime investigation was 'loser' stuff would not be a girl I'd consider worth my time. I'd have to assume she was small minded and unimaginative. You'll notice there's a lot of female posters on Casebook (including yourself), so thankfully not all women fit into the stereotype you're suggesting.

    Yours truly,

    Tom Wescott

exactly... average between 12 and 17 and in some years they'll probably find it really boring, not later than last a woman at my work saw me reading and sneaked what i was reading, she laughed and said "maybe you should try to figure out the identity of another killer, one you might actually have a chance to uncover...if not, well maybe get a life" (i wanted to answer "well maybe you should get a brain, but in your case a golden retriever and a cane would be more appropriate", but then i remembered i was the receptionist and was supposed to be polite to evrybody)

Star Trek is not uncool (well maybe a bit). Star Wars is uncool. In case any Casebookers are unaware, 22nd of March is International Talk Like Shatner Day. Khaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!!!!!!!

uuuuh depends what you wrote, if you wrote about the ripper still tha majority will tell you "get a life", but what do they know about it when they got the IQ of an oyster.

Quite true, but quite another matter when you've PUBLISHED about dead people, or had your work cited by other authors. Girls associate such things with celebrity AND brains, so you go from nerd to rock star in seconds. Can't wait for your first submission to Casebook Examiner (although it must be said that print is far more impressive the electro to the average person).

    Listen man

Tell her a corny joke...anything will do...like "what's brown and sticky" * etc.

    You now have two choices.

If she doesn't laugh forget her.

If she does laugh tell her she has a beautiful smile and ask her out for a drink to discuss your jokebook.

Caveat: Never worked for me though!

Listen, Ally -I already totally agreed with you on the nasty side of tricking a girl into being alone with you when she doesn't know you well, and wouldn't feel happy and secure with the situation (in which case, there is no need for trickery).

I simply didn't hammer home the point, because I'm not a naturally aggressive sort of person and I feel rather benign towards Jordan.

I see his 'problem' as the proverbial 'glass half full' of exciting future possibilities for 'him and his girl', and not the half empty glass of ..well, nasty things.

    Michael,
You know man thats really not neccesary. I've never even played Dungeons and Dragons but nice try considering you know nothing about me. This business of comparing me to a serial killer is pretty awful so Later

Excuse me, but Dungeons and Dragons is always there for you and never turns you down. Why is that a poor choice? I gotta go roll some dice.
