Wow, I'm 13 again, just had my appendix out and waiting for the Monkees to come on the hospital telly! My first concert was seeing them at Wembley.

    • Weird band, Caz. Invisible bassist and Davy Jones, who should be singing, frantically showing his tambourine to prove his raison d'etre. But good fun.

      • BTW, I'm waiting for four obese musicians to form a group called Captain Fatty and the Gastric Band, but I don't suppose it will ever happen.

Sunday is for art - and this beautiful song is a wonderful tribute to a most sensitive artist:

I'm not a big fan of Van Gogh, but the song is nice and mellowing, perfect right before my baby boy's nap

                  • Hey, what happened to "Apple Scruffs"? I just noticed that it's missing from the White Album remaster.

                    • Hi Julie. How are you?

I've loved that song 'Vincent' since I was a little kid.

Whenever I hear it, it still chokes me up.

                      Take care,

                      • Anyone wanting to hear an awesome song about Van Gogh needs to track down Nash The Slash's "Vincent's Crows" (the original version--the later remake isn't as good).

                        • I'm a fan of Don MacLean. However, I think that in the spirit of the song, "Vincent" should only have been released in Mono.

I've had this ****ing song running through my head for the last week or so (finally saw the movie).

I like Queensyche's version a little better though.

                              • I can barely make out the lyrics, which is par for the course with me, but I do like the sounds.
