The first British Jet fighter aircraft were built at Brockworth,Gloucester,England.They could take off from there,but could not land there,as the runway was too short for landing. They landed and operated from a different airfield.
The heavy defences around the airfield had one significant flaw,which was totally overlooked by the authorities.A person could approach unseen to wihin thirty yards of the engine test bed.This was known to only a few individuals,but luckily not to the enemy.

ohhh House of Frankenstein... I thought everyone forgot about that film...another fun Universal Monster fact, of all the classic Monsters, only 1 was played by the same actor in each film, and that is Lon Chaney JR as The Wolfman (also, Lon Played all three of the big Universal Monsters... name the films he was the Frankenstein Monster and "dracula")

There seem to be some bizarre deaths connected to John Barrymore. Guy Standing, the man he replaced in the Col. Nielson role of the Bulldog Drummond series, died soon afterward when he was bitten by a rattlesnake in 1937. Martha Mansfield, who starred with Barrymore in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, died on a movie set in 1923 when her dress accidentally caught fire.

Perhaps because of his monster role, I always thought that Karloff was much taller than Lugosi but in reality Bela was taller by 2".

Apoligies, Anna was actually his Aunt.

His Father was Anglo-Indian, as well as his famous lisp he was bow legged, he wasnts the original choice for Frankenstein (Lugosi was), and he only played that part 3 times.

He was also extremely kind, playing Father Christmas at orphanages and childrend hospitals for many years, buying the presents himself and, when Lugosi was struggling for work, made sure he was cast as Igor in a Frankenstein movie. Stating if Bela wasnt in it, he wouldnt be and ensured Lugosi was paid equally to him.

Baron Frankenstein, of course, was a famous bodybuilder. In keeping with the Anna reference, it's rumoured that while he was creating the monster he whistled a happy tune - "Getting To Sew You," I think it was.
