Oh I will take the cold over the heat anyday... but you must rmember I am from Buffalo... the land of winter...

looks like we both had another good week huh?what gets me is that Brisbane actually put up a good score (97 points not bad boys) but still lost....oh well... so far as neither of us are in last place we are still ok... and hey there is always next year!.... and I am thinking I will try to get there for a game or two next season... if I can.

So you do get a bit of Hockey huh? I grew up playing hockey... my father had my brothers and I on skates before we could even walk...played for many years.. and wow was I bad at it .....but my love was boxing and that is what I put all of my energy in... and I do have to say... I was quite good at that....but oh that was a lifetime ago...

Ok bring on the bombers... I am feeling good about this weekend!!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you but St. Kilda is gonna be a tough one for ya.... best of luck..

We do get a bit of hockey down here actually, not a bad sport.

Meanwhile, i'm back to sulking after our atrocious performance today. I'm convinced that if we could reunite Richmond's 1980 premiership team, they'd still be able to do a better job.

It's so hot and humid here now...not digging it at all.. nor is my cat.. i can tell by how mad he seems to be at me when i get home from work....well that and he likes my girlfriend more than he likes me, and she only stays with me on weekends... of well....

It is hard to believe there are only 3 weeks to go in the season eh? quite sad really.. as my Baseball season is comming to an end too.. and i;m not a big fan of American Football and my love of Hockey is gone (yu probably dont get much NHL coverage in Australia anyway huh?) lucky my favorite sport is boxing and that is year round (no pun intended).

You know what. I need a vacation hahah.

It was a very sneaky win by the Lions as well, a goal to seal the game in the final seconds.

Semi-confident about the Carlton game, but suspect we will get our backsides handed to us on a platter when we play St. Kilda. Where's Phyrne to gloat about his Bulldogs?

Nothing else exciting down here i'm afraid....it's wet. Very wet. Am happy with the free car wash, though.

Wow.. sorry... I just woke up... you see I passed out when I saw Brisbane actually won a game!!!! funny thing is.. I missed it (and it was being shown here for once.. but I went to Toronto to see Paul Mccartney..... fair trade off I think)

Sorry to take your place on the ladder.. but I did say you were just keeping the seat warm for us.... plus... I have a good feeling about Essendon this week...could be wishful thinking but, feel good (even though we still only put up 40 points in a win... yikes) sad to say yu have a few hards weeks coming up with Carlton and St. Kilda.. but i think you should take one of them... maybe Carlton... well here is hoping for ya!

Frost in the morning.... that's not winter!!!! I'm in Buffalo New York... we get snow... lots of snow, I remember once a few years back we got 7 feet of snow in one day... now that is a winter

I do have to admit I'm a bit sad the season is almost over.....I so look foward to AFL every year...I guess I will actually have to do something like more Ripper research to fill the void

Yes I think we should just both hope that West Coast hang around down the bottom there for another 4 rounds and we'll be fine.....nobody wants the culinary utensil that is the wooden spoon. Though atleast you win something, I guess....

It is winter here but it's just starting to get a bit warmer now, which is good, got sick of having frosts every single morning lol.....gotta love the sunshine!!

Ah those wonderful days of 3 in a row (should have been 4.. but that is another story) I actually have 2 of the games on tape from back in the day (Collingwood and Port Adalaide).

And yes, we may actually win one this week, if somehow we can score more than 65 (which we have not in 5 weeks.. that is a disgrace)....and don't look it as your tigers dropping back down to 15, look at it as they were keeping the 14th seat warm for my lions ...... really lets just hope now neither of us end up with the wooden spoon eh?

So how goes everything else? all I know is that is is really hot here now, more so than it should be where I live and I am not digging it very much at all!! you are lucky to be in your winter (it is winter time there yes?)

Hey Steady,

If it makes you feel any better, they replayed the 2004 Grand Final between Lions & Collingwood on TV last night, back in the glory days when the Lions won 3 premierships in a row....

Very happy with the Tigers! Hopefully we can chalk up a couple more wins before the end of the year and finish strong. You guys might get a win this weekend, playing West Coast lol....to be honest, normally i'd like the Lions to win but won't be able to this weekend, as if they do win, and we lose, Richmond will be back down to 15th.....can't have that when we're sitting pretty on 14th lol.

Should be a good game between the Lions and the Demons. I'm fairly confident about us going up against the Crows, but then I was confident against the Kangaroos as well....hmm....

Have heard a bit about the Superbowl but it's more about the TV ads that come out of it than the actual game! lol!

Oh sorry, yeah American Football, the NFL.. you know the "super bowl" it's so big here... all year round that is all people want to talk about (and the season is only 17 weeks--16 games and a by week )...plus I live in a Football city ( oh those BUffalo Bills)

so outside of AFL how is everyone doing? just so busy here these days.. and no end in site... all I know is I need a vacation!

Yes, a dismal weekend i'm afraid.....if it's any consolation, a few teams got a bit of a touch up last weekend, so the Lions and the Tiges aren't alone lol.
