Hey Steady,

Haven't had a chance to have a look at the roster for this year yet but I seem to remember hearing somewhere that we (Richmond) have to play the Gold Coast Suns in their first home game......which isn't exactly the best draw to have as nobody wants to be the first team to be beaten by the new kids on the block!

Expecting a good year from Brissy this year, especially in the wake of the floods you mentioned....they'll fire up for it.

well the 2011 fixture is out and looks like a hard year for my boys in Brisbane (not just because of the floods either)... but looks like we only have to face Geelong once... so I guess thats a plus!!

How does it look for the rest of you??

hahhah why will it not stop snowing!!! and why is it not March yet (my beloved Baseball begins in march as well!!!)

how is everyone doing.... I hope the floods have not hurt anyone out there... is it as bad as the news clips we are getting of it here in the states..

Sorry to hear that Steady, as it's just starting to get into summer over here! Mind you the weather has still been unpredictable, but can't say that snow has been a part of it!

Only another couple of months and the footy season will be underway again. Time flies....

Oh it is indeed winter here, and we even had our first (minor) blizzard....a bit early for that, but yeah, cold cold cold!! but when you live in Buffalo.. you can't complain, we know this is how it is 5 months of the year.

You could swing for the fence as often as you like, and the best part is that there's no shot you could play in cricket which would land in the "foul zone" or whatever they call it in baseball, lol. Glad you're watching it - if you watch for long enough you'll pick up all the names and rules....

I guess winter must be coming up over there then, eh?

Hello there Adam... good to hear from you... you know I try and I try but I just cant seem to understand the rules of cricket....being an American thats not all that uncommon, trust me... but I am getting some good coverage of it on TV so I have been trying..... and you know it... Australia is my team!! Maybe if i can figure it out I'll try and start the U.S team.... but coming from a baseball life.. I know I would be "swinging for the fence" everytime....

Tis the time of year for me where sports is at a lull..... I don't watch much Hockey anymore (the game has changed so much in the last 10 years.. it's not the game i grew up with) American Football I find boring... and well... Basketball has been blah this year.... but I still have my boxing (my favorite sport anyway)..... and I am counting down the time till "real football!!!" and Baseball start back up... oh March is a happy time for me!!

Well the world series starts tonight and alas.. no Yankees booooo......but hey just think in just over 5 months the Lions start the march to the Grand Finals!!!!

Good news about the Yankees, sorry to hear about the other bad news though, hope everything works out alright over there.

Not much to say over here at the moment about sport....the less said about the cricket the better. I think I said earlier on this thread that we'd be fine if Sachin Tendulkar didn't do much.....well he won the player of the series award, passed 14,000 test runs and scored 214 runs in the first innings of the second match. I mean, I like Sachin and all, but surely 100 odd would have been enough?

At least we're on top of the medal count at the Commonwealth Games, I guess.....

Ok.. My Yankees will play the Texas Rangers in the American league championship series..... one more step to the world series (funny it's called world series when it's just north America.... they are thinking of changing that soon.. they may have the world Series winner play the Japaneese championship team in the future that could be fun).

we cant let this thread die just because the season is over eh? I mean.... I'm in the states I need someone to keep me updated on what goes on in the league during the off season

how goes everything....been very boring here as of late.. been getting lots of bad news as well.. so not much to say..

Lionel got rushed in, cause they weren't expecting a grand final rematch of course....pretty good entertainment though. We had the new look INXS at the first grand final....
