Wow, I thought I might be the first to answer with some metal albums, but I was wrong. So, here goes with a few of my favorites (not all metal):

Metallica: Everything but Load, Reload, and St. Anger (I do like some of the stuff on those though)
Overkill: Taking Over, The Years of Decay, Feel the Fire, From the Underground and Below, and KIllbox 13.
Brainstorm: Liquid Monster and Soul Temptation
Testament: The New Order and The Gathering
Weird Al Yankovic: Dare to Be Stupid and Weird Al Yankovic In 3D
    Judas Priest: Painkiller

Good picks for Dylan as well.. the first is very underrated and the second contains perhaps his voice at its best (if he ever had a best that is!) Oh Mercy is very good if you havent heard it.

Cat Stevens is IMHO one of this country's greatest songwriters.
    Thnx,

    1) Rubber Soul (The Beatles)
    2) The Stone Roses (The Stone Roses)

    4) Abbey Road (The Beatles)

    6) Pet Sounds (The Beachboys)
    7) Up to Our Hips (The Charlatans)

Here's a few of my faves:
I saw Judas Priest (and Queensryche) on their Angel of Retribution tour--they can really kick tucchus for a bunch of old guys!

Point of Entry is criminally underrated, although it was finally recognized as a classic many years after it's initial release.

Edit: I'd also nominate Bruce Dickinson's solo albums "Chemical Wedding' and "Tyranny Of Souls" and Queensryche's "Rage For Order".

Rather than start a new thread entitled Music, I thought I would post this URL for the Internet Archive here. The IA has hundreds of great live performances from Ryan Adams, The Grateful Dead, Alexandro Escovedo (I recommend Live at the Bottom of the Hill, 2007-07-19!) as well as many, many others of all genres.

Here's the main URL and from there click on Audio at the top. Incidentally most of the concerts are freely downloadable.

Time to get the grill going...marinated pork chops on the grill tonight.

    Best of wishes,

    Billy

    Well, I'm back.

Reading through the very good recommendations, I was glad to see "Marquis Moon" and "London Calling."

How about adding Rod Stewart's "Every Picture Tells A Story" and Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here"?

Let's not talk about grammar as I am totally undecided on whether periods should be within the parenthetical signs or not.

    Be good,

    Billy
