I would have to go with anything by Pearl Jam (esp. Yield or Pearl Jam ), the Sex Pistols Never mind the bollocks, Nirvana In utero (just made me think of the Ripper murders – ugh! ), any of the early albums by aussies Silverchair (just not the last, jazzy album), Donavon Frankenreiter, maybe a compilation by The Doors...
(In short, all the “girly“ stuff...)

I feel someone should comment on how sad his passing was... and how sad it was that it got almost no coverage at all... RIP Eric.

so what other albums/bands make your list Steve?
    Hi man
Will address this shortly, but for now it's teatime!

Clue: The Beatles are number one by a country mile!

    Hi man

Good call on the Alan Parsons Project.
    My favourites are;
The Turn of a Friendly Card
    Eye In The Sky
    Amonia Avenue

Parsons was in such a lucky position to have been an engineer on both Abbey Road and Dark Side Of The Moon and to have Eric Woolfson as his partner and such great vocal talent like Colin Blunstone to call on.

    Rock is boring.
Except Eddy Cochran and the Guana Batz.

They were pretty good--fast, but intelligible.

Interesting results for the Finnish Metal Awards this year:

    Band of the year: Insomnium
Record of the year: Insomnium - Across The Dark
Vocalist of the year: Tomi Joutsen (Amorphis)
Musician of the year: Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom)

I haven't actually heard Insomnium yet--I'll have to get on that.

    This might help:
