I watched M. NIght Shamalamadingdongs "The Happening" earlier, there wasn't really a lot happening, just some tree's going a little "nutty"

Also been working my way through the "Thin Man" movies lately.

At the moment I'm watching Iron Monkey--another Jet Li flick.
The "Thin Man" movies were great. It is interesting that William Powell, as portrayed in the movies, was clearly an alcoholic. They simply made it funny. No way could they do that today without causing an uproar.

Great movie. And it was Lionel Barrymore.

Thanks for that. Couldn't remember which one. 'I want more'. Sounds a bit like Jack.

I finally got round to watching "Righteous Kill" starring Pacino and DeNiro and was really disappointed with it.

It centres around two ageing murder squad detectives, looking at a serial killer that could be a police officer and then rap (pap) artist, 50Cent shows up and I had a really nice deep sleep!

The film was ok, but I can't help feeling that these two where wasted!

"When General Motors has to go to the bathroom ten times a day, the whole country's ready to let go" - Stella (Thelma Ritter) in Rear Window.

I watched it for the something hundredth time last night. The first time was first run at the theater with my parents in 1954. Love it!

I watched Stuck the other night which was inspired by an actual case. In the crime the perp was a black woman but the actress in the film was white but wearing cornrows. I had to wonder if cornrows are the new black-face.

Not recently watched - but definitely going to be watched here at 4.20 today on Channel 5: the superb Murder By Death (1976), with a star cast featuring the incomparable Alec Guinness as blind butler, Besonmum.

I can't wait. If anyone here has not seen this one before, try to catch it. It's an absolute scream.

    Love,

I agree, nice easy going film, with a whole lotta heart! Hope they make a sequel!

I watched Ocean's 11, 12, and 13 during the week, and The Italian Job, featuring Mark Whalberg.

I love all four films, and quite enjoyed seeing them again, it being a while since we last watched them.

I have the Prom Night Remake to watch, but will wait until the weekend.

There was DNA on victim two so let's hear about that match.

Saw "Coraline" in 3-D last weekend. Mere words can't begin to do it justice. Just an amazing movie-going experience, a true visual feast. Henry Selick was the perfect choice to bring it to the big screen.

I follow Neil Gaiman on Twitter and he's posted several times that the 3D version will only be out for a couple of weeks in the US. (It'll get bumped by the Jonas Brothers concert movie.) Then it'll just be the "regular" version, which I'm sure is wonderful. But I'm spoiled now and can't imagine seeing it that way.

If you have the option of seeing it in 3-D, do it.
