The big issue for me, and this was addressed by Murphy, is that Parry wasn’t reliant on Lily Lloyd or her mother for an alibi. The Brine’s are sufficient to provide him with an alibi (then the PO, Hignett’s and the Williamson’s) so I cant see why Lloyd would need to lie about his alibi? But it does appear that she’d visited Munro. I’ll have to listen to the radio series again but I don’t think that there was any detail.
He's not reliant on Lily for his alibi but if he truly had her fudge the timing then you have to ask what exactly it was that he was doing in that period of time.
You will recall Parry leaves Brine's at what, 20:30? Her house is very close to Wolverton Street - 5 minutes by car. Lily Hall's alleged sighting is around this time isn't it? Albeit he would not drive to the actual house itself and I think Lily had the man walk towards Breck Road.
The videos should play fine, seems to be working for me.Last edited by WallaceWackedHer; 03-01-2020, 08:29 PM.

Yes 8.30 at the Brine’s but between then and arriving at the Lloyd’s he goes to the Maiden Lane PO, then to Hignett’s then the Williamson’s for 10 minutes. This must account for 30 minutes or so.
So in the absence of a plausible reason I can only really see Lloyd’s action as some kind of attempted payback which Munro might not have placed much weight in at the time.
You could add these ones to your YouTube channel.

The post office and Hignett's were not checked but I don't see reason to doubt that.
Then Lily is saying rather than go to her home at around 9 PM, he's arrived later than that. Not sure exactly how much later.
Lily would have known she's not his murder alibi because she said she saw him 15 minutes after Wallace even got home. So essentially it would mean there's something he does after visiting the Williamsons that he cannot tell police, if she is right.
If we imagine the timeline, Gordon finishes his chat at the Williamson's at around 9 PM. Julia has barely even been found dead yet, I don't think the police are even there yet - so Gordon may not even know she's dead or what has happened at this time.
He's around West Derby Road which is near the area, and we know when word got out about what had happened people gathered there. I think word spread quickly, apparently there was a crowd. Evidently he was not among that crowd. Nor was he at Wallace's trial hearing.

I hate Google Earth. I find a location, pin it, then you have to try a remember the next location by landmarks because the street names aren’t displayed.Regards

So he's left the Williamson's at say 9 would it be? Something around then. And Lily is saying he turned up to see her later than she claimed, so like he's gone somewhere else before going to her house.
The leader of the gang I semi-randomly pegged lives half a mile from Lily's I recall. I say semi random, because it's based on an educated guess due to Menlove Gardens and the time aligning weirdly with their "final crime spree" etc. so not 100% random.
That guy died about 4 years later. He went overboard on a ferry. Weird story. There was something with his teeth when they found the body, I think perhaps a dentist had extracted them previously? Although I recall his dad said they were not like that before or something. It's hard to understand some of it... Just that he was on a ferry with a John Payne and went overboard and died.Last edited by WallaceWackedHer; 03-01-2020, 11:16 PM.

When I say I hate Google Earth I really mean that I hate the fact can’t use it properly. It’s an amazing thing. I was just trying to gauge the distance between the Williamson’s and the Lloyd’s and it took me absolutely ages. I found Lisburn then I found Missouri. Then I had to try and memorise the location of one so that I could use a pin to get from one to the other. I had to keep switching between the two until I could picture the Missouri address by some trees in the street. Then I randomly moved in the direction of one from the other not really knowing until I got there if I was taking the quickest route? I don’t know what I’d have done if the two locations were further apart.
So although it’s an amazing thing and I often use it I don’t think it’s good (for me at least) for working out the distances between two points unless you know the route beforehand.

Yes, I’d say around 9.00 for leaving the Williamson’s give or take a little. Lily’s mother said 9.00-9.15 of course so it couldn’t really have been much after 9.15 that he’d got there which obviously doesn’t leave much time for going anywhere. Unless of course Lily was suggesting that her mother had lied too because if her mother was being truthful then she’s only (possibly) 15 minutes out.
I see Lily's statement is three days after Parry's.
I don't understand why she would do this. I also don't understand why she would say this even if jilted. It doesn't rob him of an alibi, and she's saying she doesn't think he killed her, what's the point of it?
Parry and her ended on good terms it seems - at least, she apparently kept in contact with him 'til his dying day which most certainly doesn't seem like something that would happen between a couple that went through a vicious break-up.
In the coming days let me read the Wilkes interview with her again. Both she and Parry and basically every police officer and author for some reason always seem fo crypitcally imply they know something but won't tell (never for good reason, always some BS).
Her alleged visit to Munro I'm not really concerned with but the actual interview with Lily herself conducted by Wilkes/his team. Gannon seems to think she did not go to Hector and this information got to Goodman via police officers (something about nobody not even Munro being allowed to see Parry's statements, so it couldn't be made up totally, and Lily not knowing Munro).
When she speaks to Wilkes though she does say he came later than she told police. She doesn't elaborate much and the interviewer does a very poor job. I guess they think she's THE alibi for Gordon so if she faked the time he must've done it... I need to check again.

And you guys know that on Google Maps you just do directions right? Address A as the starting point, Address B as the end point. Gives you driving time, walking time, etc (although it uses realtime traffic to calculate drive time).Last edited by WallaceWackedHer; 03-02-2020, 01:09 AM.
