I only bought the book in order to find out exactly who Constable 426H was. I'm kidding (although that was the first thing I looked up). My personal review of the book, for my files, ends with "One of the best books on the subject ever written." So I guess I really liked it.

    Hi Gnote,

This matter was discussed on Facebook, however I'm aware some may not have seen it.

Unfortunately it seems it has been removed from there, otherwise I'd cut n paste it on the thread for all to see.

    Cheers
    Monty

PS I've recovered part of it.

Poster has a question about a Sergeant living on Mile End Road. Figured i'd post the link here for Monty in the event he misses the thread.

...No, not a little of everything, more a lot of everything.

You get to see Dr FG Brown for the first and second time, you find out about coded police messages and whistle signals connected directly to the murders, you find out a little more about the police themselves as well as other bits n bobs which, because there is no fanfare, I suspect many would miss first time around.

Thank you very much for the answer. That certainly sounds like some intriguing information. I will anxiously await the ebook. The police angle is such a unique one. I hope the sales and everything are worthwhile. Good work should be rewarded.

There's more new facts in my book than any book published in the last twelve months Dave, more than any new suggested contrived theory for that matter.

If the worst comment about the book is that people cannot get it quick enough, then I can live with that.

    Cheers

    An update from my publishers

    Re the Amazon issue

    Hi Neil

I have heard back from our American distributors and apparently there was an ordering mix-up of the shipment of books which contained stock of Capturing Jack the Ripper. I’m very sorry about this! I have been told that it was meant to be available on the 19 January, but as that month’s order was wrong, it was delayed until this month. Casemate in America are expecting this shipment on the 19 February, so with any luck, the books should be available on this date to US customers.

Again, I’m so sorry about this time delay! Hopefully the books will be available soon though.

    Best wishes,

    Cheers
    Monty

I gave it a terrible review without reading it and purchased all available remaining copies in the hope nobody else would want one.

I am going to wait a few years and sell them as rare collectibles.

Even I don't get freebies of my own book Scott. I have to pay like everyone else.

I am on to this availability issue which, quite frankly, has seriously pi$$ed me off.
