Ahem, I know I said it was sexy, but my pages don't stick together!
I love the way it can be read whilst pulling out all the little letters and memoribillia, giving the reader an experience throughout!
    Regards Mike

Indeed Philip, I'm Mr Clark. Have a word.

Cheers Mike, probably just my copy, it just isn't my day

It's a shame Rob as it looks like it will become something of a collectors item.

Hi Rob. Bad luck about that. I'm sure our friend Christian Jawd can empathise!

I'll just get another one Mike and send Richard Jones the bill

Hi Philip, oh yes poor old Christian, he does get multiple spellings of his surnames put about.

Is Stuart Evans mentioned alongside Clark and Jawd?

                Robert

p.s. Thanks Phil for telling Eugenia Parry how to spell my name for the inscription

There's a "Richard Whittington-Evans" on page 477 of the new Mammoth Book.

I never knew they married :-))

How strange, Richard Whittington-Evans appears in the 'Ripperland' documentary, along with Stewart P Ryder, Colin Rumbelow and Melvyn Fido.....

I hope that's because I spelt it to her correctly and not a post of sarcasm because I screwed it up!

No sarcasm, Phil, a genuine thanks. Their is nothing worse than getting a personal inscription that is spelled incorrectly.

My copy arrived over a week ago but I just got a chance to look at it this afternoon. I had to order it from Amazon.uk because, at the time, both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca were out of stock.

It's an interesting work, isn't it? Sort of an expanded version of JtR and the Whitechapel Murders by Keith Skinner and SPE. Nice old photos, a couple of which I don't remember seeing before, and some excellent modern shots by Sean East who collaborated with Jones on an earlier book.

Can't say I care for the fake blood stains on nearly every page, and I'll have to keep this away from the younger members of the family or some of the bits and pieces are sure to disappear. But, on the whole, it looks like a volume that most of us would want to have.
