I have to say that Drew was very closely guarded about what it would propose at the recent talk?

I'm not surprised, Steve! Incidentally, the actual blurb for the book refers ro "means, motive and opportunity", which immediately sets off alarm bells.

Drew did say he was adding a name to the list, so not sure if that means New or someone we have already talked about.

The man is a serious academic, and I look forward to his work, of course he may be totally wrong.

Yes, I noticed that. He works at the University of Northampton, currently ranked 99 in the UK rankings!

Joking apart, at my university there were acadamics who I would have highly rated, others should we say, not so much.

                John,

having worked in the university sector for some 35 years I could not agree more.
However it is good to see academics taking an interest at last.

                  Steve,

Yes, I agree, it'll be interesting to get an academic's perspective, and I'll probably buy the book as I'm extremely interested in the Torso cases. In fact, I keep meaning to post on the subject!

I would just add that if Professor David Canter wrote a book on the subject that really would be a game changer.

                          Hi El
                          whos the "leading expert"?
"Is all that we see or seem
but a dream within a dream?"

                          -Edgar Allan Poe

"...the man and the peaked cap he is said to have worn
quite tallies with the descriptions I got of him."

                          -Frederick G. Abberline

It shall be an interesting read, and will lay out some interesting aspects of life in the Victorian era.
