Cyberpunk 2077 is a video game set in a future world where people can install implants in their bodies via the service of "ripperdocs." Just so you know. Those "places" are just like regular clinics, where you sit on a chair to be "operated on." Implants generally give you greater physical abilities, and they are pretty much a staple in futuristic sci-fi games of this kind.
This is one of many (and won't be the last) instances in pop culture that try to link doctors to the famed serial killer. Doctors are the one group most victimized (other than the prostitutes) by JTR. (I say this semi-sarcastically, because I don't really care what doctors' feelings are )
P.S. Whoever invented the name "Jack the Ripper" also must not have been an "enterprising journalist." Even a third-rate writer would know how to COPYRIGHT his stuff before publishing it. Think of all the LOST ROYALTY this "enterprising journalist" (and his/her descendants) would've got had he/she done that, considering the gazillion times the JTR name has been used in pop culture! Hence, JTR was most likely created by an ignoramus who just got lucky.
P.P.S. The name "Ripper" is also used in Fallout games. It is a chainsaw type of weapon (picture), probably not a preferred tool of the real JTR.
