I'm on my second listen and I'm enjoying it very much the second time through, just as I did the first.

I realize I didn't catch the name of the profiler or psychologist Martin Fido mentioned in a comment where he discusses Dahmer as an example of raving mania. Sounds to me like Ken... something, first mentioned at 49:40ish.

    To whom is Fido referring?

    Hi Jeff,
Martin Fido has been on many podcasts already covering what you have suggested. Look in the podcast archive. If you would like be on a show and converse/ask questions with Fido for public release I'm sure that can be arranged. Keep in mind that an American woman might be present and a dog might bark in the background. A friendly warning since I know now how you detest those things.

Ah so it was your puppy.. Most endearing and a great radio moment.

The program was to your credit as always..

For what my two penny is worth if you have the opportunity to get Martin Fido again , well I personally would like to hear more about his original quest, his views on Anderson (I'd be happy to play devils advocate if noone else is) and his final conclusions (on which I dont totally agree, but are the best and most logically considered I can think of) so yes a plee for more Martin Fido on Podcast if possible..

Many thanks for a great show

    Jeff

I guess a lot of you are easily pleased.

And whose dog was that in the background...give me a gun!

And should American women be aloud on podcasts, one word 'water board'?

Thank god for Martin Fido (we'll Ignore fido the dog) you are my guro Mr FM. Great guest more please.

Let just have a Martin Fido his own podcast next...with guest from hell, Mike Covell please. Results of your talk?

    Yours Jeff

    Great work, Jon.

I always love Mike Covell's accent... like I've got room to talk being from Tennessee.. LOL. The coverage about the Aberconway version of the MM was first rate and Martin gave a good explanation as to its antecendents... And Ally was spot on about the deafening silence that followed.

Anyone who even thinks about writing an article about presenting documents and offering plausible theories about it needs to read what Adam put together here. Its a fine example of how it should be done. One of the best articles I've ever read from any publication.

I have absolutely no idea how much work goes into recording/editing these Rippercasts. But I'm guessing that this new format in which a handful of experts discuss a wide range of issues impromptu style is less work because there is no need to have specific topic, find the expert on the topic, generate questions, and not repeat what already has been done. I think the lack of new Rippercasts in recent years was the result of the fact that there was already a Rippercast on most conceivable topics. I hope that this informal format catches on and we have "let's talk about..." type Rippercasts with Ripper generalists on a much more frequent basis. I found this episode just as entertaining as the others.

This is wonderful! Fascinating podcast, and I am grateful you have made it available to listen to.

Am surprised to hear of David Lindblad, who lives in Apache Junction, Az. I work there.
