In the introduction to Elizabeth Prater on this site, the information shows -
"Born Eliza Sophia Wickes in 1842, Holborn, London. Had two children by a man named Elder, Charles (b.1868) and Kate (b.1869). It is unclear whether Eliza and Mr Elder were married, or indeed what became of him".
How was this information known? Is her age given in newspaper reports or inquest statements that we know of? I know it matches some information on a person in Ancestry but there are other possible candidates I think. Just depends on what info is known to be absolutely true. Would an Eliza want to pass herself off as Elizabeth, for example?
